Tips for a Successful Telehealth Session
Be in a secure, confidential location that you feel the most comfortable in.
Make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Try to block outside noises.
Using a pair of headphones with a microphone is a great option to amplify your voice and make sure that you can hear your provider clearly.
Remove distractions and keep yourself safe. Don’t conduct sessions while driving or trying to multitask. Take advantage of this time to really focus on yourself and your needs.
Grab something to take notes on. We often tell ourselves that we will be able to remember that really awesome quote or skill but let’s face it, we don’t remember!
Make yourself comfortable! Grab your favorite tea or beverage and relax. This is the beauty of therapy from home, you get to make yourself at home!
